Welcome to Mrs. Laurie’s webpage. I teach Social Studies and Language Arts for Team 8-4 for the NAU/NASA/TELC program at Flagstaff Middle School. I work closely with my teaching partner, Rick Treadway, to accomplish our program’s mission: Provide opportunities not traditionally offered in a middle school setting through an integrated, technology-enhanced curriculum.
The NAU/NASA/TELC program is a Technology Enhanced Learning Community housed at Flagstaff Middle School. We have a partnership with NAU (Northern Arizona University) and with NASA. We are a NASA Explorer School. We work with education specialists from NASA centers in an effort to spark innovative science and math instruction. NAU provides us with grant funding opportunities to develop the technology used with the students.
